The Voice of Italy, the tv show aired on RAI2, a successful format all over the world, featured Laccio as choreographer.

Laccio’s assignment, in collaboration with the coaches Raffaella Carrà, Riccardo Cocciante, Noemi and Piero Pelù, was to fulfill the artistic potential of the young competitors, helping them to grow familiar with the stage and to create the choreographies for their live performance.

From an interview released before the airing:

How will you support singers?
I’ll work on their personality. I’ll focus on their showmanship, on the emotion and energy.

How will you collaborate with the coaches?
We are already creating a connection, this is the foundation of a good collaboration.
We’ll work together to give energy to the singers. My assignment is to make visible what the coaches see in the contestants and express the singers’ emotions through movement.

How do you think you can bring to the show?
I want to bring freshness, I want to take to Rai 2 the language of my generation: a generation that grew up with the stereotypes of the pop art and with all the communication strategies related to the media, a generation open to the world, able to re-elaborate and re-examine the world languages.

What is your aim?
I don’t want to distort the artists, but to elevate them.

Will it be difficult to set a collaboration between rookie singers and dancers?
It won’t be difficult i twill be very difficult! And that’s the challenge: there is no show if there aren’t challenge and adrenaline.

Any indiscretions?
Well, what I can tell you is that working with coaches like Raffaella Carrà, Riccardo Cocciante, Noemi and Piero Pelù makes me feel very lucky, but at the same time I feel put to the test. It requires strength and intelligence, I must be able to capture all their ideas, process and transform them.
And trust me, to be heard is not so obvious as you might think! It will be a huge adrenaline rush!

Come aiuterai i cantanti?
